My 3-year-old grandson E is all set for his latest adventure on Tuesdays With Nana. I love his shirt! No surprise, it’s my favourite. He’s got sunscreen, sunglasses and his little work gloves on. Today we are going to do a little Urban Gardening.

Recipe: Hazelnut Crusted Cedar Plank Halibut

Easy Like a Sunday Morning, that’s how the recipes in my “Easy” category will be. Nothing rushed or frantic, nothing with a long list of ingredients. Something that is so easy, you don’t really need a recipe. Something that almost cooks itself or requires no cooking at all.

Blogpost: Mother’s Day Gift Ideas And Easy Gluten Free Recipes

I didn’t post anything last week. Had a little bout of Writer’s Block…haha that sounds so funny for me to say. Am I a writer? :) I have this blog, which thanks to all of you, is gaining in popularity, it hit 500 Likes on Facebook a few days ago! That’s quite a milestone. I remember how happy it made me to get 100 Likes. This latest Facebook milestone is 5 times the pleasure.

Blogpost: Let’s Have A Picnic :: Tuesdays With Nana

Last week I told you about starting this new Tuesdays With Nana series and I introduced you to my 3-year-old grandson E and his baby sister Little K. This blogpost is part of that series. I don’t have a recipe for you today. Although there would have been if the crackers had turned out better. It’s a recipe that needs some tweaking and cooking with a 3-year-old doesn’t lend itself very well to recipe development.

Recipe: Cinnamon Pecan Streusel Muffins

If you like Cinnamon Coffee Cake, you are going to love this recipe. These muffins are not your heavy fruit laden breakfast variety. They are lighter, almost verging on a cupcake, with the sweetness toned down.

Blogpost: MMM (Must Make Monday)

I have been a collector of recipes for as long as I can remember. My old collection was a mish-mash of magazine clippings and handwritten recipes. This Must-Make-List is an online version of a recipe collection. These mostly gluten free recipes are ones that I have collected from various websites and food bloggers. The links on my Must-Make-List are to recipes that I hope to cook one day. In reality though I’m sure I will not get to half of them. That’s where you come in…if I share this collection with you, maybe together we can check them off as having COOKED-THAT!.

Recipe: Multi-Bean Chili

I love Homemade Chili. It’s easy to throw together and makes such a satisfying meal. I usually just use canned beans to make Chili but I’m trying to make healthier choices and that means avoiding processed foods.

Recipe: Gluten Free Chili Seasoning Mix

I have made my own Chili Seasoning Mix for years. The only real change I made to the recipe over the years, is to omit the wheat flour and replace it with cornstarch. You can use whatever type of starch you have on hand. Sometimes I use Tapioca Starch. All starches are pretty much interchangeable at a 1:1 ratio.

I had a jar of dried beans on hand for a Multi-Bean Soup, so I decided to soak some of the beans and cook them up. I will use some of them to make Chili and freeze the rest for soup.
